Eight modes, any combination

Press Tab for the mode panel, or F1–F8 to flip a mode on or off without stopping. Your momentum carries across every switch: turn on Web-Swing mid-kickflip, or Portals mid-car-chase, and keep your speed.

KeyModeWhat it does
F1SkateKick pushes, charged ollies, flips, grinds, manuals, combos and bails.
F2PlatformerTriple jump, long jump, backflip, side flip, wall kick, ground pound and dive, with shards to collect.
F3ShooterAim down sights, recoil, bots, health regen and killstreaks (UAV, care package, airstrike).
F4Open-World CrimeTraffic, carjacking, a five-star wanted level, police that chase and shoot, and a minimap.
F5VoxelBreak and place blocks anywhere, light TNT, and build rail blocks you can grind.
F6PortalsTwo linked portals that keep your momentum. Bullets, cars and boards all pass through.
F7Web-SwingPendulum web-swing, release fling, and tethers that yank cars and bots.
F8Bullet-TimeThe world clock follows your input. Stand still and everything freezes.

Synergies

Moves that cross modes score bonuses:

KICKFLIP KILL
A kill within 1.5 s of a trick. Scores double the trick plus 200.
AIRBORNE KILL
A kill while in the air. +250.
THROUGH THE PORTAL
A kill within 2 s of going through a portal. +500.
AERIAL JACK
Stealing a car within 2.5 s of a swing release. +800.
SWING BOOST
A trick within 3 s of a swing release, scaled by release speed.
PORTAL TRICK
A trick within 2 s of a portal. Scores the trick again.

The world reacts across modes too. Ground pounds smash blocks, explosions carve the voxel layer and wreck cars, rail blocks are grindable, and bullets, cars and boards all pass through portals.

How it's built

GameMash is written in Rust on the Bevy engine with Rapier physics. Each mode's feel comes from a written spec of observed behaviour (push speed, ollie height, flip timing, landing angles) rather than from any original code or data. The simulations are engine-free and unit-tested, and the same source builds for the browser (WebAssembly, WebGPU or WebGL2) and for Windows, macOS and Linux. Read the clean-room policy or the build guide.
