OWCraft is the strangest host for the SkyCraft design so far: a solar system. Fly your ship to a planet, get out, press F6, and you’re playing Minecraft on its real surface. Break and place blocks, light TNT, build a house on Timber Hearth. Press F6 again to get back into your spacesuit, and the house stays on the planet.
Minecraft simulates the player and blocks against the planet’s surface, and Outer Wilds draws the blocks with its own lighting. The author reports building, TNT and walking around planets at 60 fps on their test PC.
